Holidays with taste

Mrzim 12. mjesec. Dobro, možda baš ne jako ali sam u onoj skupini hejtera božićnih ukrasa i prisiljenog darivanja. Jedino što me iskreno veseli u ove blagdanske dane je - hrana. Slano, slatko, kolači...mmmm! Već sam počela sa planiranjem što kuhati ove blagdane, ako izuzmem ono tradicionalno - riba, purica s mlincima, sarma, odojak, francuska., orehnjača... Za to je zadužena mama.
Ja ću se ipak baciti na finije stvari, a inspiracija i kulinarski vođa mi je i dalje Lorraine Pascale.

I hate December. Well, maybe not really, but I'm in that group of haters of Christmas decorations and forced presents giving. The only thing that I've truly looking forward to this holiday days is - food. Salty, sweet, cakes ... mmmm! I've already started planning what to cook these holidays, with the exception of what is traditionally - fish, turkey with dumplings, cabbage rolls, pork, french salad and walnut roll ... For those it is mom's responsibility.
I'll going to make some tasty dishes, my inspiration and culinary leader is still Lorraine Pascale.

Naravno, svake godine radim gingerbreads kekse - medenjake, imala sam neki predobar recept i izgubila ga, tako da ako imate neki u rezervi - slobodno javite! 

Of course, every year I make gingerbreads cookies, I had a very good recipe and lost it, so if you have some in reserve - feel free to message me!

Autumn Essentials

Da, da, prođe 15.08. a ja imam switch u glavi koji kaže - vrijeme je za kupovinu jesenske/zimske garderobe. OK, i to je diskutabilno koliko će nam jesen biti jesenska, a zima zimska. Hm, vidjet ćemo. Dakle, iako sam se nekako u glavi odmaknula od ljetne garderobe, a još je kalendarski ljeto i ja ga volim, već mi se motaju po glavi neki ključni komadi s kojima ću zaokružiti ovu jesen. Svi bruje o tome da je ovo sezona velikog come backa grunge-a, i 90-tih, a kako je to bilo desetljeće moje adolescencije i mladosti, dobro znam kakva se moda onda furala. Iskreno se nadam da se neće vratiti u modu one gadne vestice koje su imale krzno oko zapešća i kragnica. Hahaha, sjećam se da su bile 'cropped', ajd bar nešto da se vratilo od tog modnog zločina. Dakle - ove jesen/zima sezon, bez obzira na trendove - ja ću nositi predimenzionirane kapute, škotski uzorak, kožu a znam da ću izbjegavati zakovice, pastelne nijanse i dolčevite. Leopard uzorak je must have, ja ga nosim godinama, ne prečesto ali mi je drag.

Moja wishlista za ovu jesen je dolje, a vama želim lijepu modnu jesen! Morate priznati, prilično sam skromna ove godine ;)

Yeah, yeah, August 15th passed, then I have a little switch in my head that says - it's time to buy autumn / winter wardrobe. OK, and it is debatable how much will be autumn real autumn weather and winter with real winter weather. Well, we'll see. So, even though I was somehow in my head away from the summer wardrobe, and even the summer is still here (and I love it), but I can't stop thinking about some key pieces that will round off this fall. All are buzzing about the fact that this season is a great grunge's comeback, and 90's, and as it was a decade of my adolescence and youth, I know it very well what was on. 

I sincerely hope it will not come back into fashion one nasty jumper with faux fur around the wrists and collar. Hahaha, I remember that they were cropped, at least something that is returned from the fashion scene. So - this autumn / winter season, regardless of the trends - I'll wear oversized coats, tartan, leather and I know that I'll avoid studs, pastel shades and turtlenecks. Leopard pattern is a must have, I wear it for years, not too often but I love it.
