eBay shopping - tips&tricks

Mnogi ljudi me pitaju kako funkcionira eBay pa sam odlučila na svom blogu napisati jedan kratak i sažet vodič.

1. Registriraj se

Ja osobno koristim UK verziju eBaya, od mojih početaka online trgovanja. Stvar je u tome što je po meni UK site bolji, volim engleski smisao za modu i bliže je. Dakle, platiti ćeš manju poštarinu, ali o tome ću kasnije. Navikla sam već kupovati u funtama, i da me netko probudi usred noći znala bi napamet koji je tečaj :)

Dakle, odeš na www.ebay.co.uk i stisneš REGISTER. Ispuniš sve i voila, eto te na eBayu.

Slijedeći korak je linkanje PayPal accounta, moraš ga imati jer jednostavno ne možeš kupovati bez njega. Naravno, eBay je kupio PayPal 2002., pa otud i njihova jaka povezanost.

Ako već imaš PayPal account onda ga samo trebaš linkati  /myEbay->account->PayPal account/. Ako nemaš PayPal onda slijedi upute OVDJE. Ako ne misliš ozbiljno poslovati sa novcima preko PayPala, dovoljno je da otvoriš individual account, što znači da ti je dovoljan za tvoje osobne potrebe.

2. Kupuj!

Druga bitna stvar kod kupovine na eBayu je pretraživanje. Naravno, lako je, ako poznaješ dobro sve pojmove koje tražiš i koje želiš kupiti. eBay je doveo do savršenstva svoj pretraživač kao i kategorizaciju predmeta. Sa lijeve strane ekrana imaš veću kategorizaciju predmeta, kao moda, kuća i vrt, elektronika i tehnologija...a unutar svake veće grupe imaš finu podjelu - dakle pod moda (a što drugo!) imaš podkategorije - muška moda, ženska moda, nakit i satovi, itd.

U gornjem prozoru  upiši što te zanima - na primjer, tražiš suknju - upišeš skirt i otvoriti će ti se otprilike ~500 000 rezultata. Ako imaš neke smjernice što točno želiš (a vjerujem da imaš) onda opet sa strane klikneš na podkategoriju - hoćeš li ženske, dječje ili možda vintage suknje.Možeš birati i veličinu, boju, materijal, ma sve. Jednom kada filtriraš to što tražiš, izbaciti će ti po kriteriju 'best match'. Znači, dobiti ćeš rezultate svega po najboljoj i najbližoj kategorizaciji opisa riječi.

To možeš sortirati, a obzirom da ti je možda u interesu da vidiš je li uopće  prodavač šalje u Hrvatsku,  klikneš na Price + P&P: lowest first. Onda dobiješ automatski listu oglasa sa najmanjom cijenom i iznosom poštarine. 

3. Ponuda VS kupovina

Čar eBaya je u tome da za malo novaca dobiješ nešto što ti treba/želiš. Dakle, prva stvar je davanje ponuda, tzv. biddanje. Prodavač objavi neki oglas za npr. cipele i stavi početnu cijenu 0.99 funti. Svaka ponuda je vremenski ograničena, i može trajati od 1-10 dana. Dakle, u tom periodu se skupljaju ponude. Ponude se daju prema vlastitim mogućnostima, i pobjednik je onaj koji ponudi najveći iznos prije isteka roka ponude. Znači, ako sam ja stavila 2 funte, netko je sutra stavio 4, ja sam stavila 6 a zadnji dan je cijena skočila na 15 funti, onda čekaš da istekne vrijeme koje odbrojava. Moja metoda je čekanje zadnje minute i davanje ponude u zadnjim sekundama. Tu je jako bitno biti brz i spretan, a davanje ponude prije zadnjeg dana i nema baš smisla, jer ako vas naprimjer dvoje daje ponudu, onda ćeš si samo nabiti veću cijenu.

BIN OPCIJA ili Buy it now/Kupi odmah je isto opcija kupovanja. U tom slučaju nema aukcije, nema žurbe, strke, adrenalina, samo klikneš, platiš i to je tvoje. Ne trebaš čekati da prođe određeni vremenski period, ili se bojati da će ti netko 'uzeti' predmet. Ova opcija je isto česta na ebayu, ali ja ne preferiram takvu kupovinu.

4. Plaćanje

Kao što sam rekla na početku, plaćanje se vrši PayPalom. Kada aukcija završi, tj. kad dođeš do 'Chekout' sistema (sustava naplate), automatski će te eBay prebaciti na stranicu PayPala. Tamo se ulogiraš sa svojim korisničkim podacima i obaviš plaćanje. PayPal će teretiti tvoju kreditnu ili debitnu karticu koju imaš registriranu.

5. Sigurnost

eBay je svjetsko tržište koje je u potpunosti sigurno. Imaju visoko razvijeni sustav zaštite kupaca (čak više nego prodavača a to znam iz osobnog iskustva). Bilo da ti se dogodi da ne dobiješ ono što želiš, ne stigne ti nikada paket, eBay će ti vratiti novac u potpunom iznosu. Rok za dizanje 'disputea' ili prigovora po naški, je 45 dana od dana kupovine. Prigovor se podiže u slučaju da niste dobili robu ili ta stvar ne odgovara opisu. Prva stvar je kontaktirati prodavača. Pošalješ mu poruku i lijepo ga pitaš gdje je tvoja pošiljka, kada je poslao, ima li potvrdu slanja tj broj za praćenje pošiljke. Ako odgovori potvrdno, onda ga moliš broj za praćenje (tracking number) i ovisno o poštanskom servisu pogledaš status online. Ako se prodavač nije javio, ignorira tvoje poruke ili nije siguran kada je poslao, onda očito nešto ne štima. U tom slučaju otvaraš dispute. Pored svake kupljene stvari u izborniku 'My eBay' imaš padajući izbornik koji izgleda ovako, te odabereš 'Resolve s problem'. Dalje te vodi izbornik, ukratko opišeš situaciju i čekaš da eBay odluči u tvoju korist. Uglavnom to bude kroz tjedan, možda 10ak dana. Novac ti se vrati preko PayPala na karticu koju imaš registriranu. Nemoj paničariti ako ti se odmah ne vidi iznos na kartici. Dođe u prosjeku od 4-10 dana. Time je završen i zaključen tvoj prigovor.

6. Povratna ocjena iliti feedback

Za svaku transakciju na eBayu se ostavlja povratna ocjena/feedback. Feedback ti omogućuje da izraziš svoje zadovoljstvo (ili nezadovoljstvo) kupljenim predmetom. Isto tako, ocjenjuješ i ostale aspekte poslovanja, tipa opis predmeta, brzinu slanja, komunikaciju sa prodavačem te troškove pakiranja i poštarine. Opisna ocjena je poželjna uz označavanje da li si generalno zadovoljan - pozitivno, neutralno ili negativno. Na taj način se radi mreža ocjenjivanja, tako da možeš u startu prije nego kupiš nešto, vidjeti da li je prodavač pouzdan. Prodavači sa 99% feedbacka i manje nisu pouzdani, ali to isto ovisi koliko imaju ocjena. Mogu imati i 97% pozitivan feedback ali ako su napravili 20 000 transakcija mjesečno, taj postotak je zanemariv. Kao što ti ostaviš ocjenu prodavaču, tako će i on tebi ostaviti - jesi li dobar kupac, plaćaš li odmah ili zavlačiš, kakva je komunikacija.. I tebi je to bitno kao kupcu, da izgradiš dobru reputaciju i budeš pouzdan.

7. Razno 

• UK eBay ima jeftiniju poštarinu od US eBaya, ne nužno, ali ako nešto dolazi iz Amerike vrlo je vjerojatno da ćeš platiti poštarinu cca 20-50 USD. Isto tako, na ebay.com je masa kineza koji prodaju svoje ne baš kvalitetne proizvode, nude free shipping, čekaš paket po mjesec dana, a često niti ne stigne.
• Ja osobno kupujem od privatnih sellera. Često je to second hand odjeća, ili vintage, ali velika razlika je u kvaliteti materijala nego od onih 'dućanskih'. Ili kupujem nešto što ne mogu naći u HR, ili ciljano tražim brandove koji su i po nekoliko puta skuplji u pravim trgovinama (ili online trgovinama). Za primjer, kupila sam All Saints novi kaput sa etiketom za 150 funti. U trgovini mu je cijena bila 495 funti. Možete sami izračunati koliko sam profitirala.
• Svaku nedoumicu rješavaj sa prodavačem. Ja sam nedavno kupila Paul's Boutique torbu, došla mi je ali bez remena. Bila sam bijesna, jer je na oglasu bilo navedeno da ima remen. Prodavač mi je odmah rekao da će kontaktirati dobavljača i poslati mi remen. Stigao je u roku od tjedan dana.

Ima tu još puno finesa, i stvarno je potrebna praksa da bi bio što snalažljiviji u tome.

Mislim da je ovo dovoljno za početak, nije teško, i po meni je glupo plaćati neke osobe koje ti nude usluge kupovanja na eBayu - ako imaš dovoljno informatičkog znanja da dođeš do mog bloga, sigurna sam da možeš bez problema sam koristiti najveću svjetsku trgovinu.

Za kraj vam stavljam popis svojih najdražih prodavača - bez ikakve reklame - jednostavno imam samo lijepa iskustva - odlične stvari, fine i mirisne, ugodna komunikacija, lijepo zapakirano i brzo stigne - zbog takvih iskustava se vraćam ponovo u te online trgovine!

Many people asks me how eBay works, so I decided to write on my blog a brief and concise guide.

1. Register

I personally use the UK version of eBay, since my beginnings of online trading. The point is, I think that the UK site is better, and I love english sense for fashion and it's closer to Croatia. So, you'll pay less postage, but I will write later about that. I'm used to buy in pounds.

So, go to www.ebay.co.uk and click REGISTER. Fulfill all and voila, you are an eBay member.The next step is linking your PayPal account, you gotta have it, because you just can't buy without it. Of course, eBay bought PayPal in 2002., hence their strong relationship.

If you already have a PayPal account then you only need to link it to your eBay account MyEbay-> Account-> PayPal account /. If you do not have paypal then follow the instructions HERE. If you're not in serious business with money via PayPal, it is enough to open individual account, which means it's for your personal needs.

2. Buy!

Another important thing when buying on eBay is searching. Of course, it's easy, if you know well all the terms you're looking for and what you want to buy. eBay is brought to perfection as your search and categorization of objects. On the left side of the screen you have more categorized items as fashion, home and garden, electronics and technology ... and within each major group you have fine division - then under mode (what else!) you can find sub-categories - men's fashion, women's fashion, jewelry and watches, etc.In the upper window, type in what you're interested in - for example, looking for a skirt - you sign skirt and open will be approximately ~500,000 results. If you've got some guidelines exactly what you want (and I believe you have), then again by clicking on the sub - either you want women, children, or maybe vintage skirts. You can choose the size, color, material and everything. Once you've found what you're looking for, you will pick up the criteria of 'best match'. So, you will get the results all at the best and the nearest word description.You can sort it, and considering that you may have interest to see whether all vendors are willing to dispatch abroad, clicking on Price + P & P: lowest first. Then you get automatic listing with the lowest price and the amount of postage.

3. Bidding VS Buying

The charm of eBay is that you get what you need / want for a less money. So the first thing is auctions, called bidding. Seller publish an ad, for example shoes, and put the initial cost of 0.99 pounds. Each offer is limited in time, and can take from 1-10 days. Thus, during this period he collects offers. Offers are given according to their capabilities, and the winner is the one who offers the highest amount before the end of the tender period. So if I put 2 pounds, someone put 4 tomorrow, I put 6 and the last day soared to 15 pounds, then you'll have to wait to run out of time counting. My method is to wait for the last minute and I make offers in the last seconds. It is very important to be quick and nimble, and the bidding before last day doesn't make sense, because if you, for example two bidders makes an offer, then you're just shove a higher price.BIN option or Buy it Now option to purchase is the same. In this case, no auctions, no hurry, bustle, adrenaline, just click on it, you pay for and it's yours. You do not have to wait to pass a certain period of time, or be afraid that someone will 'take' item. This option is also common on eBay, but I do not prefer such a purchase.

4. Payment

As I said at the beginning, payment is made by Paypal. When the auction ends, or when you go to 'Chekout' systems (billing system), it will automatically switch you to the eBay site PayPal. There you'll have to login with your username and password and done payment. PayPal will charge your credit or debit card you have registered on your account. 

5. Miscellaneous
eBay is a world market that is completely safe. They have a highly developed system for the protection of buyers (even more than the sellers and I know it from my personal experience). Whether it happened you don't get what you want, you don't get package ever, eBay will refund you full amount. The deadline for lifting 'dispute' or objection is 45 days from the date of purchase. The dispute is raised in case you did not get the goods, or the item doesn't match the description. The first thing is to contact the seller. Send a message to him and ask him nicely where your shipment is, when was sent, whether he have sending confirmation number for tracking shipments. If he answered yes, then you ask for tracking number and, depending on the postal service you watch online status. If the seller didn't answer, ignore your messages or is not sure when he sent, then obviously something is wrong. In this case, you opening a dispute. In addition to any purchased items in the 'My eBay' you drop down menu that looks LIKE THIS, you pick 'Resolve the problem.' Next you briefly describe the situation and wait for eBay decided in your favor. Basically it is during the week, maybe only 10 days. If they decided to refund you, it will be via PayPal on the card you have registered. Do not panic if you do not immediately see the amount on the card. Reaches an average of 4-10 days. This has been completed and your complaint is closed. 

6. Feedback 

For each transaction on eBay you can leave feedback rating. Feedback allows you to express your satisfaction (or dissatisfaction) with the purchased item. Likewise, you rate and other aspects of the business, accuracy of description, dispatch, communication with the dealer and the costs of packaging and postage. Illustrative rating is desirable to indicate whether you generally satisfied - positive, neutral or negative. In this way, for network assessment, so that you can in the beginning before you buy something, see if it is a reliable vendor. Sellers with 99% feedback and less aren't reliable, but it also depends on how many people left feedback. You can have 97% positive feedback, but if you have made 20,000 transactions per month, this percentage is negligible. As you leave the assessment the seller, he will give you in reverse - are you a good customer, you pay immediately or you are time waster, what kind of communication .. And this is important to you as a customer, to build the good reputation and be reliable. 

7. Tips

•     UK eBay has cheaper postage from the U.S. eBay, not necessarily, but if something comes from the United States abroad, it's very likely that you will pay the postage approximately 20-50 USD. Also, on ebay.com the masses of Chinese who sell their not-so-quality products, offer free shipping, waiting for a package per month, and often do not arrive.

•     I personally buy only from private sellers. Often this is a second hand clothing, or vintage, but the big difference is in the quality of the fabrics. Or I buy something that can not be found in Croatia, or specifically looking for brands that are several times more expensive in real stores (or online stores). For example, I bought a new current season All Saints coat with labels for 150 pounds. Price in store was 495 pounds. You can calculate my profit.

•     Handle any confusion with the seller. I recently bought a Paul's Boutique bag, and package came to me without strap. I was furious, because listing includes strap. Seller resent me strap within a week, my feedback was positive :)

There's still a lot of finesse, but with time you'll get the practice.I think this is enough for a start, it's not hard, and it is stupid to pay some people that offers services  buying on eBay - if you have enough IT knowledge to visit my blog, I'm sure you'll have any trouble using the world's largest store.

In the end, I'll give you a list of my favorite sellers - without any advertising - simply, I have only nice experience - great stuff, fine and fragrant, pleasant communication, nicely packaged and arrived quickly - because of these experiences will be back in the online store!
